Time-Stamping
Time-stamps are important for keeping records of when information is being exchanged or created or deleted online. It has gained an increasing interest by the business sector and is becoming an important component of digital signatures. This is commonly based upon the Time-Stamp protocol from the RFC 3161 and the updates defined in RFC5816.
SSD offers both Timestamping service (Certificate) and Timestamp Server solutions to some of the major Enterprises and Government bodies. It helps organizations reduce potential liability associated with time-sensitive transactions by providing a long term validation and non-repudiation of the time and date the transaction took place using standards-based implementation that is easily recognizable and compatible.
Benefits of Time-Stamping:
- To allow software and user recognize a valid code signing signature even after the certificate has expired
- To preserve the signature by time-stamping the software
- To provide continuity of the software functions while enhancing the security

TimeStamping Service
We provide low-cost Trusted Time-stamping Service (Saas) and simple method to apply RFC 3161 trusted timestamps to time-sensitive transactions through independently verified and auditable date and UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) sources. It provides a digital seal of Data Integrity and Trusted Date & Time by adding trusted timestamp to Code-Signing or Digital/Electronic signatures.

Timestamp Server and Solution
Timestamp server cryptographically validate that a digital signature performing with a signing certificate took place at a specific time. That allows one to verify sometime in the future that a document, program or other file was digitally signed at a particular time.
Timestamp server is a hardware device providing certificate signature and timestamp placement for electronic documents. The timestamp key is protected in HSM for implementing the timestamp calculation mechanism. It provides the electronic signature and audit mechanisms for organizations and units. This provides a solution for storage of electronic documents with high security and non-repudiation.
Regular re-creation of a current timestamp guarantees continuity of the audit trail. This enables long-term archiving – year after year, even after the expiration of older signature certificates.
Fields of application
- Document management and archiving systems
- Long-term archiving solutions
- Electronic tender platforms
- Lottery and online betting
- Electronic contracts
- Support and ticketing systems
High-Security
- Complies with RFC-3161 standard.
- Supports NTP auto time sync and DS/NTP protocol.
- Uses FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified Hardware Security Module (HSM). Supports asymmetric algorithms, including RSA and DSA. Supports keys with RSA 1024~2048-bit length.

Timestamp allows you to sign and get your documents signed in a simple and secure manner, while giving them legal value.
